WELCOME TO OUR PARISH
Bishop John Folda and the faithful of the Diocese of Fargo welcome you to St. Mary's Cathedral. The word cathedral comes from the Latin cathedra, meaning "seat." The Cathedral Church serves as the seat of the bishop in a particular diocese.
Whether you're exploring the Catholic Faith, returning after time away, seeking a new parish home, or already a cherished parishioner, we are grateful you are here.
At St. Mary's Cathedral you will find a place to encounter God through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the sacraments, and the life of a vibrant parish community. Being involved is the best way to feel a part of our family. We can't wait to worship with you at Holy Mass or work beside you at our next parish event!
"The sacraments are God's masterworks of mercy." - St. Thomas Aquinas

Dear Jesus, my parish is composed of people like me. I help make it what it is.
It will be friendly, if I am friendly.
It will be holy, if I am holy.
Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.
It will do great work, if I work.
It will be prayerful, if I pray.
It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am a generous giver.
It will bring others into worship, if I invite and bring them in.
It will be a place of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, of compassion, charity, and mercy, if I, who make it what it is, am filled with these same things.
Therefore, with the help of God, I now dedicate myself to the task of being all the things that I want my parish to be. Amen.
